LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Police urging people not to leave valuables in their cars for any length of time after a man had his I-pad stolen in Downtown in just 30 seconds.

The man told police he put his briefcase and iPad into his truck. The door unlocked while he went up the driveway to get the trash cans.
When he got back to the car less than a minute later, he saw his iPad was gone and there was a child’s lunch box left on the front seat.

Lt. Michael ford of LRPD says,
“It is unusual for them to leave something behind, but we’ve also seen criminals leave driver’s licenses and pictures and other stuff behind”

The I-pad was tracked to a house near 21st and Battery, but police say shortly afterward it was turned off and they were unable continue the search.

The lunch box was sent to the state crime lab for DNA analysis.
