HEBER SPRINGS, Ark.- David Wayne Hammonds has pleaded guilty to killing a man and wounding his wife at a print shop in Heber Springs in 2016.
According to the plea agreement, Hammonds will serve a life sentence without the possibility of parole.
Charles Johnson, 65, died after the shooting, according to Arkansas State Police. His wife, Candace Johnson. was hospitalized.
Hammonds was being prosecuted for capital murder, attempted capital murder, possession of a firearm by certain persons and commercial burglary.
Hammonds has previously entered a not guilty plea.
