OZARK, AR – The Thunder on the Mountain country music festival scheduled for June 26-28 has been cancelled.
A Facebook post made by the Thunder on the Mountain officials earlier this month says the festival was cancelled due to “circumstances beyond our control”:
“It is with great regret that due to circumstances beyond our control, we are unable to hold Thunder on the Mountain which was due to take place June 26 – 28 near Ozark, AR. A separate statement regarding ticket refunds will be made direct to ticket holders.”
A lawsuit has been filed in Pulaski County on behalf of online ticket buyers to be sure they’re refunded their money from the organizers.
The lawsuit alleges the organizers knew the festival’s finances were on shaky ground but continued to sell tickets and market the festival.
