LITTLE ROCK, AR – An earthquake that struck in south Missouri has been felt in parts of Arkansas.

The tremor was reported shortly before 10 p.m. Wednesday. 

It was centered in Steele, Missouri.

A preliminary report ranked it at 4.0 but that figure was later lowered to 3.6 in magnitude..

The U.S. Geological Survey says the earthquake was felt by dozens of people in Blytheville and about a dozen people in Osceola. It was also reported to have been felt in Manila, Marion, Jonesboro and even as far away as Vilonia.
