LITTLE ROCK, AR – Donna Terrell’s Yoga Warriors Fighting Colon Cancer event is now less than two weeks away and one of our goals is to create awareness about all cancers, especially colon cancer.
As Donna has told you before, her daughter Queah was only 27 and misdiagnosed a couple of times before it was discovered she had colon cancer.
We’re now making big improvements in our efforts to educate people especially young people about the signs an symptoms of colon cancer. But there’s still work to be done.
“Many people in their 30’s and 40’s just assume that’s not something that they’d have to worry about. And we know the incidence of colon cancer in those patients of those a groups is real. The biggest thing is early detection. If you have problems get it evaluated much sooner,” explains Dr. Rhonda Gentry with CARTI.
Don’t forget the big FREE event is Saturday, April 11th at 10 a.m. at the Doubletree Hotel in downtown Little Rock.
Starting at 10 there will be healthy food demontrations from Wholefoods. And we’re raffling off some items and there will even be free stuff too!
Even though the event is free we will accept donations for cancer patients.
