FORT SMITH, AR (KNWA) – Two people have been arrested Tuesday, and more are expected, in a joint drug investigation by several law enforcement agencies in the River Valley.
Keith Edward Holland and Tashonda Dawn Holland were stopped on Highway 271 near Interstate 540 in Fort Smith, and found to be in possession of almost a quarter pound of crystal methamphetamine, several baggies of marijuana packaged for individual sale, and $1,160 cash.
They were arrested on charges of possession with purpose to deliver meth between 28 and 200 grams and possession of marijuana with purpose to deliver less than 14 grams.
The arrests led investigators to obtain a search warrant for a residence in Russellville Wednesday, where an additional pound of crystal methamphetamine was seized. Further arrests are expected.
Keith Holland is currently also facing charges in Sequoyah County, OK of Distribution of a Controlled Substance, Maintaining a Place for Keeping/Selling a Controlled Dangerous Substance, Acquiring Proceeds from Drug Activity, and Unlawful Possession of Paraphernalia stemming from a November 24th arrest in Oklahoma.
Both are currently being held at the Sebastian County Detention Center on a $10,000 bond.
