Garland County, AR – A burn ban is in effect for Garland County effective immediately. Garland County Judge Darryl Mahoney issued the order Thursday. The burn ban is not weather related. The order is to keep air free of smoke as to not interfere with outdoor evaluation sites related to air quality amid the COVID-19 outbreak. Smoke may also aggravate respiratory issues associated the disease. The order is in effect until further notice.
