FAYETTEVILLE, AR (KNWA) – Fayetteville police say they found a body inside a burning car outside a restaurant early Monday morning.
It happened outside On the Mark Sports Bar & Grill, located near the intersection of Gregg Avenue and Sunbridge.
Officers say they got a call about a car on fire around 3 a.m. Monday. After fire crews put out the flames, the body was found in the driver’s seat of the car.
Police don’t yet know the victim’s identity. The body has been sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for an autopsy to confirm identity and determine cause of death.
The Fayetteville Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire, and Fayetteville Police are also doing a death investigation in this case.
