LITTLE ROCK, AR – Mayor Mark Stodola is joining the forces that are asking Gov. Asa Hutchinson to veto the Religious Freedom Restoration Act.

The bill has been making its way through the Arkansas Legislature in recent weeks.

The mayor sent a letter to the governor today asking that he reconsider his position on HB1228.

Stodola writes that it’s “the right thing to do for all of Arkansas’s people.”

Gov. Hutchinson has already said that he would sign the measure when it reaches his desk.
