LITTLE ROCK, AR (News release) – Clinton National Airport announces that it now provides the fastest, free Wi-Fi available in any airport within the United States. Ronald F. Mathieu, airport executive director, made the announcement this morning at the monthly meeting of the Little Rock Municipal Airport Commission.

Wi-Fi speed testing conducted shows that Clinton National provides 25 megabits per second (mbps), per device. Reports released earlier this year indicated that the top Wi-Fi speed available at any airport, at that time, was 4.63 mbps.

In addition, the airport also unveiled a new website during the airport commission meeting. The site, completed by Little Rock based Aristotle and airport staff, is expected to go live next Monday. In production for the past six months, the site is fully responsive as it adapts content to fit a computer, smart phone or tablet. The website offers flight tracking features, information on airport amenities and news.

The latest customer service enhancements come as the airport prepares for Thanksgiving travel, which is its busiest time of the year. The airport is currently developing a $20.6 million initiative to improve its concourse that will include additional technological enhancements to improve cell phone connectivity in addition to giving the concourse an updated look with new seating and jet bridges.
