JONESBORO, AR (News Release) — The Arkansas State University Athletics Department has announced that men’s and women’s basketball season ticket plans for the upcoming 2014-15 season are on sale.
Fans can purchase men’s season tickets for all home dates at one of two price options. For $170, a seat can be purchased in the lower level, which features all-new seating, with a donation to the Red Wolves Foundation. New for the 2014-15 season, all upper level season tickets are $99, and do not require that fans be members of the Red Wolves Foundation to purchase tickets.
Women’s basketball fans can purchase season tickets for $75 for lower level seating and $65 for upper level seating. For the second year in a row, courtside seating will be available at women’s games; pricing begins at $125 per seat and requires that you be a member of the Red Wolves Foundation.
Also new this season will be a revamped parking structure for doubleheaders that will accommodate season ticket holders for both men’s and women’s games. In addition for doubleheaders, fans that have season tickets for women’s can receive a parking pass with a donation to the Red Wolves Foundation. The A-State men’s team, under the direction of head coach John , registered 19 victories for the second consecutive season during the 2013-14 campaign with a 19-13 overall record. A pair of juniors, guard Cameron Golden and forward Kelvin Downs headline the list of Red Wolves’ returnees for the upcoming 2014-15 season.
The Red Wolves are slated to play 16 home games inside the Convocation Center, including non-conference battles with Lamar (Nov. 24) and Marshall (Dec. 20). The Sun Belt Conference home schedule opens Jan. 3 with Appalachian State, while in-state foe UALR will play in Jonesboro Jan. 29.
The offseason has been full changes for the A-State women’s basketball program with the addition of assistant Aisha Stewart and new Director of Basketball Operations Renae Shippy. This year’s roster also features five incoming freshman, two of which hail from the state of Arkansas. Sun Belt Conference Player of the Year Aundrea Gamble headlines a roster that also features seniors Hanna Qedan and Jasmine Hunt playing their final year at the Convocation Center.
This year’s schedule features 10 Sun Belt Conference home games, including matchups with newcomers Appalachian State and Georgia Southern. Other meetings include games against Louisiana-Lafayette, Louisiana-Monroe, South Alabama, Georgia State, Troy, Texas State, UT Arlington and in-state foe UALR. The Red Wolves’ non-conference schedule includes a game in the Preseason WNIT against Jackson State Friday, Nov. 14 at 7:05 p.m. in the Convocation Center.
