ROGERS, AR – A man was kidnapped and stabbed nearly 70 times in Rogers, and survived.
The Benton County Sheriff’s Office says when Erik Herrera-Ruiz met two men at a home on Stoney Hollow Road when a fight broke out and they hit him in the head with a baseball bat.
According to the sheriff’s office, during the fight, Herrera-Ruiz was also stabbed 68 times. Officers say the two men then forced him into a car and made him take his clothes off.
Eventually he jumped out of the car and escaped at a Jiffy Kwick convenience store. Amazingly, he has already been treated at the hospital and released.
Police caught up to the two suspects during a traffic stop in Oklahoma, and they are being extradited back to the Benton County jail.
