PULASKI COUNTY, AR – A local woman is behind bars charged with murder in a man’s stabbing death.
Melissa Diane Stearns, 35, is accused of killing Herschel Johnson, 63, at their home on Minton Rd. on the county’s west side.
It happened around 10 Saturday night, according to the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO).
The PCSO says Stearns admitted in an interview that she and Johnson had argued before the stabbing.
According to the incident report, Johnson called his brother for help, telling him he had been stabbed. By the time his brother got there, the victim had died.
Deputies say Stearns left the scene after the incident and was arrested down the street at the intersection of Lawson Rd. and Sullivan Rd.
