LITTLE ROCK, AR – A family claims the Little Rock School District was aware their son was bullied before he committed suicide in 2010, but later denied any knowledge.
In a 36-page lawsuit, attorneys for Anna Barnwell and her son Chandler allege LRSD tried to hide evidence that the student was bullied before he took his own life.
Barnwell was a freshman at Parkview Arts & Sciences Magnet High School in the fall of 2010.
“I don’t want anything like this to happen again to another child,” Barnwell says. “I couldn’t care less if I get a dime.”
The Little Rock School District says it will not comment on pending litigation but says strides have been made to address bullying since 2010.
