Update:
WHITE COUNTY, AR — The child who died has been identified as 4-year-old Levi Watson, who resided in Bradford with his mother, Deborah Sizemore. 

The owner of the dogs, Mr. Justin Corbit, is cooperating with White County Sheriff’s Office Detectives while the incident is under investigation, according to a release from the Chief Deputy.

Three adult pit bull dogs were taken into custody.

At this point, no charges have been filed regarding this incident and a determination of the disposition of the animals will be made after the completion of the investigation.

WHITE COUNTY, AR — White County Sheriffs confirm a 4-year-old boy has died after being attacked by dogs around 3:30 p.m. Friday on Piker Road in the Bradford Area.

Investigators say the boy and his mother were visiting either family or friends at a Bradford home when the child somehow got outside the house and in an enclosed area where at least 3 dogs were being held. According to investigators, two adults rushed outside after hearing a commotion and saw the boy being attacked by the dogs.

The Bradford Fire Department and NorthStar EMS responded and began treatment. The child was then transported to the White County Medical Center in Searcy where the the child later died of the injuries.

The White County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the incident and at this time says it appears to be a tragic accident. They say the owner of the dogs was at home and is cooperating.

The dogs will stay with the sheriffs office until the conclusion of the investigation.
