HOUSTON, AR — The Perry County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) arrested three burglary suspects thanks to the keen eye of some neighbors.
PCSO says neighbors saw a suspicious car parked in a nearby driveway, then saw two men coming out of the woods near the house.
The neighbor wrote down the license plate number and contacted PCSO, who then determined the vehicle belonged to 26-year-old Dennis Hodge of Perryville.
During an interview, Hodge not only confessed to the burglary, but gave investigators the names of the other two men that were with him: 19-year-old Donald Cooper, of Russellville, and 19-year-old Ryan Jones, of Morrilton.
“The people in our communities are our best police officers, they know more about who should or shouldn’t be in their neighborhoods,” Perry County Sheriff Scott Montgomery said in a news release.
Hodge, Cooper and Jones were all arrested and taken to the Perry County Jail, where they were each charged with residential burglary.
