CLINTON, AR – An in-flight accident involving an Arkansas National Guard helicopter is under investigation.
Guard officials say one of its UH-60 Blackhawks clipped power lines north of Clinton in Van Buren County Wednesday night.
A Camp Robinson-based crew of three soldiers was conducting a routine night-training flight when their aircraft’s landing gear made contact with power lines at about eight o’clock. The contact cut the lines, reportedly knocking out power for about two hours.
No one was hurt in the accident.
The full extent of damage is not yet known.
