LITTLE ROCK, AR– The Little Rock Compassion Center hosted its annual toy distribution event Saturday.
The Teeter Motors softball team was one of the volunteering groups. The team’s coach says giving is a valuable lesson to teach his players.
“About four years ago, one of the parents said something about it and it went from there. And it really just blew up from there,” said Roger Johnson.
Organizers also plan a Christmas feast for December 25.
“We are having gifts for everybody. We have someone that is going to give free haircuts that day. We are going to do a time of Christmas caroling and we also have food boxes that we are signing up people for,” said center director Rosemary Holloway.
