LITTLE ROCK, AR – Two Watson Elementary students are in trouble after authorities say they brought a gun to school. The 3rd and 5th graders are brothers.
Lt. Terry Hastings says the gun was taken out on the bus ride to school when a girl saw the gun. The boys reportedly told her not to say anything or they would hurt her.
The gun belongs to the boys’ grandfather who is a Little Rock police officer, according to Lt. Hastings. The gun was his old service revolver that he bought when the police department bought new guns.
Lt. Hastings tells FOX16 that the boys had been at their grandfather’s home and found the gun, though the gun had been stored in a safe place.
The 5th grader may face charges but his brother is too young to face charges.
