LITTLE ROCK, AR – Police are looking for the person or persons who fired shots into a crowd, leaving one man wounded. It happened just before 2:00am Saturday morning in downtown Little Rock.

Little Rock police were already in the area of Markham and Scott streets dispersing a crowd when they heard shots fired just west of them. A large crowd was scattering in all directions as police arrived to investigate.

A dark colored car with a window apparently shot out was seen fleeing south on Main Street, investigators quickly found three other vehicles with what appeared to be bullet holes, one of them with the back glass shot out another with a bullet hole in the driver side door. Ten shell casings were found near the scene, six brass and four steel.

Police soon got a call of a gunshot victim seeking treatment at UAMS. 20 year old Tracy Daniels was shot in the left shoulder but the wound is not considered life-threatening. He told police he was standing in front of the Peabody Hotel when the shooting started and he was hit. Daniels told police he did not see the shooter.

The incident remains under investigation.
