Re’Chelle Turner joined the station as a general assignment reporter in August 2018.
Re’Chelle comes to Arkansas from KSWO 7News, the ABC affiliate in Lawton, Oklahoma where she was a Multimedia Journalist. During her time in Southwest Oklahoma, she covered stories ranging from deadly dog attacks, crimes, and the Oklahoma teacher walkout, to wildfires, tornadoes, and agriculture.
She also reported on a pastor’s body burned near his church in Chickasha and a pig carcass dumped at the Islamic Center in Lawton.
Her most memorable moment was when she flew with the United States Air Force Thunderbirds!
Prior to working in front of the camera, Re’Chelle worked at WJTV, the CBS affiliate in Jackson, Mississippi. There, she was a Producer for WHLT News at 10 and Mississippi’s CW for WJTV.
She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Information Sciences from the University of Alabama. While in college, Re’Chelle completed internships at WVUA-TV, WBRC FOX 6, WIAT CBS 42, ABC 33/40 and she served as a correspondent for ESPNU Campus Connection.
Re’Chelle is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists and values community service. In her spare time, she enjoys judging pageants, talent shows and emceeing events.
She loves trying new foods, hiking and Alabama football (Roll Tide!).
Re’Chelle is from Pell City, Alabama and is excited to be living in The Natural State.
