WASHINGTON COUNTY, AR (KNWA) – A man is facing felony charges after he punched an employee at the Northwest Arkansas Mall.
20-year-old Lorenzo Green was booked into the Washington County Detention Center after police say he stole a pair of shoes and punched a Loss Prevention employee at JCPenny.
Security cameras captured Green and a friend stealing shoes from the store. When the LP employee confronted them as they tried to leave, the friend ran from the store while Green agreed to cooperate.
While being escorted to the LP office, Green punched the employee in the arm and began scratching at her in an attempt to get away. At one point he pulled his arm away from her and was able to run out of the store. The LP employee chased Green into the parking lot where he kicked her before escaping in a car.
Green was later arrested on Brookhaven Ct in Springdale. He faces charges of robbery.
