HOPE, AR – Hope Police are investigating just the second homicide in the last six years in the Hempstead County town.
Officers were called to the scene around 2:45 Monday morning inside a home in the 1000 block of North Greening Street.
Police say Roger Hall, 36, was found lying on the floor of his home and that he had suffered multiple gunshot wounds.
A second victim, Lamario Henderson, 24, of Hope, was taken to a hospital in Shreveport with multiple cuts and burns.
According to witnesses, several unknown masked suspects were involved in the incident.
Investigators are searching for information on a black Dodge Magnum with Texas tags.
Hope Assistant Police Chief Kim Tomlin says detectives are exploring if the suspects knew the victims.
“Right now, we don’t know,” Tomlin says. “We’re not exactly sure if it’s a stranger thing. We feel it isn’t but right now we’re working through all of that.”
