ROSE BUD — An Augusta man is dead after a wreck Friday afternoon in White County.
36-year-old Timothy Root died in the accident.
It happened shortly before 3:00 p.m.
According to a preliminary report from the Arkansas State Police, Root was a passenger in a vehicle traveling on State Highway 5.
The Chevy Venture failed to negotiate a left hand curve, left the road, and struck a tree.
Root was thrown from the vehicle and died on the scene.
The investigation is continuing.
