MONTICELLO, AR – A man wanted for murder in Detroit, who was featured on America’s Most Wanted, was arrested in Monticello, AR, according to the Drew County Sheriff’s Office.
According to information received from the Detroit Police Department, Jonathan Jamel May, along with two other suspects, shot and killed a disabled couple, seriously injured another person, and shot at two other people on February 10th, 2012.
Tuesday Drew County Sheriff Mark Gober was contacted by U.S. Marshals with information that May was living in Monticello after May was featured on America’s Most Wanted on Saturday.
The Drew County Sheriff’s Department, Monticello Police Department, and U.S. Marshals went to a residence on Bailey Street where May was believed to be staying. Shortly afterwards May was arrested without incident.
May was taken to the Drew County Detention Facility where he was booked in on charges of two counts of first degree murder and three counts of attempted murder. He is currently awaiting extradition.
