TRUMANN, AR — An investigation is under way after an officer-involved shooting early Tuesday afternoon approximately 20 miles southeast of Jonesboro.
According to KAIT, Trumann police say as they were conducting a parolee check near Pine Street, they saw a suspect start running away from them.
A few officers ran after the suspect, who was eventually shot in the chest, but is still alive, KAIT reports.
Police reportedly told KAIT that the suspect was armed, and a gun was recovered at the scene.
None of the officers involved in the shooting were injured, according to the report.
