TEXARKANA, AR (KTAL) – Authorities have arrested an armed robbery suspect after he allegedly cuts two clerks at a convenience store in Texarkana, Arkansas.
The stabbing happened around 8 a.m. Friday at the Stop & Shop in the 1800 block of East 9th St.
Police say David Clark, 24, entered the store and proceeded to the counter with several items. The employee began to ring up the items when Clark allegedly reached over the counter and cut the employee’s neck with a sharp object.
Clark allegedly ran behind the counter and cut a second employee. Clark then went to the register and tried to open it but was unsuccessful and he fled on foot.
Both clerks were taken to a local hospital.
A short time later detectives located Clark and arrested him for Attempted Capital Murder, Aggravated Robbery and Battery 2nd.
