Original story (Feb. 12):
LITTLE ROCK, AR – The death of a Sherwood man after a shooting on a parking lot has begun a new homicide investigation for the Little Rock Police Department (LRPD).

Police say Frank Steinsiek, 56, was found with gunshot wounds to his side and head in the 1900 block of W. 65th Street around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. He died Thursday morning at UAMS after undergoing surgery.

A witness told police he heard multiple gunshots before he found Steinsiek lying on the ground. He also told officers he saw a white Ford pickup pulling a trailer with a yellow motorcycle leave the scene after the shots were fired.

Police say Steinsiek was there attempting to meet a potential buyer for the motorcycle that he was selling off of Craigslist.

A second witness told police he saw the white truck parked in the parking lot where the victim was found but did not see a suspect.

According to the police report, a worker at a business near the scene gave the LRPD video recorded by security cameras. Police have not yet said if the incident was recorded by those cameras.

Police released the attached photos of a yellow 2009 Yamaha R1 motorcycle they say was stolen from the victim, along with a photo of a U-Haul trailer similar to the one that was carrying the motorcycle.
