BONO, AR – Investigators say a man died after he got on an Interstate highway headed the wrong direction. The deadly crash happened just after 11:00pm Friday night.
The victim is identified as 42 year old Daphne Tate of Bono. The accident happened on Interstate 55, in Mississippi County near Bono.
Arkansas State Police reports indicate Tate was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes when her car slammed head-on into a northbound vehicle. The northbound driver, 48 year old Charles Davis of Baytown, Texas, was also injured. He was taken to the Medical Center in Memphis but there is no report available on his condition.
