BOTKINBURG, AR – Fox 16 cameras took to the air today to bring you a better look at the tornado damage in Van Buren County.
The twister struck around 4:30 Wednesday afternoon and was spawned from a supercell thunderstorm, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Little Rock.
The tornado was rated an EF-2 this afternoon following an NWS survey.
The Arkansas Department of Emergency Management says six homes were destroyed in Van Buren County, 13 more have major damage, and 27 have minor damage.
Van Buren County is one of 15 Arkansas counties declared disaster areas by Governor Mike Beebe this afternoon.
