Little Rock, AR —  The food and drug administration is warning about the risk of a serious skin rash associated with the painkiller acetaminophen.

It’s sold under different brand names most notably Tylenol.
The FDA says acetaminophen can cause potentially deadly rashes and blistering of the skin.

Companies that sell prescription acetaminophen will now be required to add a warning about the rash to its labels.

Other painkillers like Ibuprofen and Naproxen also carry a risk of skin conditions but that risk is already listed on the drug labels.

Lowering the cost of drugs – could help patients control their blood pressure.

A review of more than fifty published studies found a link between reduced co-payments for health care,  including medication, and better blood pressure control.

The study also showed having health insurance that covers routine physicals is also linked to improved blood pressure outcomes.

The researchers say expanding insurance coverage and reducing out-of-pocket costs  could have a significant impact on the health of Americans.
