LITTLE ROCK, AR (News release) – Construction work will require lane closures at the Interstate 430/630 (Big Rock) Interchange, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.

In one phase of work, crews will be striping Interstate 430 northbound. The work will reduce I-430 northbound traffic to one lane within the Big Rock Interchange.

The closures will be Tuesday night, October 8th through Friday morning October 11th between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m., weather permitting.

In the second phase of work, crews will be hanging overhead signs on Interstate 430 southbound.

The work will reduce Interstate 430 southbound traffic to one lane within the interchange. Also, the southbound I-430 to eastbound I-630, Markham Street, and Shackleford Road/Hermitage loop ramp (southwest loop) and Exit 6B (Markham Street exit) will be closed. Traffic will be detoured to Exit 5 to access Hermitage Road, Shackleford Road, Markham Street and eastbound I-630.
 
The closures will be Wednesday night, October 9th through Friday morning, October 11th between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m., weather permitting.

Motorists should exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones.
