CONWAY, AR – A Conway dentist faces a terroristic threatening charge after sending a letter to an employee with the Department of Finance & Administration.
Larry Fincher, 58, was arrested Thursday afternoon and booked into the Faulkner County Detention Facility.
According to an affidavit Fincher wrote a letter to DF&A Division Manager Drew Smith threatening to kill him or any other government employee that attempted to collect delinquent taxes from Fincher’s dentist office.
The affidavit states that Fincher intended “to make Smith’s wife a widow to keep his business open.”
Richard Weiss, director at DF&A, says he was made aware of the letter on Wednesday.
“I said call the state police right now,” Weiss says. “People going about their jobs shouldn’t be threatened like that.”
