CONWAY, AR– Conway police have arrested and charged a mother with leaving four young children alone in their apartment.
The children were left alone on July 15th, according to a release from Conway Police Spokesperson Latresha Woodruff.
On that day Joyner allegedly left her apartment headed to Little Rock and left her small children ages 9 years, 6 years, 2 years, and 8 months old.
Someone notified police and officers located them inside the apartment unharmed.
After further investigation CPD officers attempted to take Joyner into custody at her apartment complex, she allegedly became combative, refusing to cooperate.
Officers subsequently took her into custody and transported Joyner to the Faulkner County Detention Center, she now faces 4 counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Minor 1st Degree, a class D felony and one count of Refusal to Submit to Arrest, a misdemeanor.
At this time 3 of her 5 children have been taken into DHS custody.
She is being held on a $10,000 bond.
