OXFORD,MS –(from arkansasrazorbacks.com) The University of Arkansas football team (3-7, 0-6 SEC) fell in a 34-24 road loss to Ole Miss (6-3, 3-3 SEC) in Oxford, Miss., on Saturday.
Alan Turner and Eric Bennett each grabbed interceptions and the Razorback defense recorded seven tackles for loss.
Brandon Allen led the way offensively for Arkansas, throwing for 193 yards and two touchdowns, but it was not enough to keep pace with the Rebels inside Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.
Behind the leg of Zach Hocker, Arkansas got on the board first as the senior drilled a 51-yard field goal after the team drove 41 yards in six plays on the game’s opening drive.
Ole Miss quickly responded with a 52-yard return on the ensuing kickoff and began their first drive in Arkansas territory.
The Razorback defense would firm up in the red zone, however, coming up with a third-down stop and holding the Rebels to a 42-yard field goal.

Julian Horton would add a 20-yard touchdown reception for the Razorbacks with just under five minutes remaining in the game, but it proved too little too late to mount a comeback.
With the score, Arkansas finished the game 3-for-3 on red zone trips to improve to 24-for-31 (.774) this season.
