POPE COUNTY, AR – A double fatal fire is under investigation after a camper trailer burns near Dover.
It happened around 10:45 this morning on Highway 7 North.
The Pope County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) says its deputies, the Martin Township Fire Dept., Dover Rural Fire Dept. and Pope County EMS, were all called to the scene.
The bodies, both burned beyong recognition, were discovered after the fire was extinguished.
The PCSO says they are a male and female of unknown ages.
The bodies have been sent to the State Crime Lab for identification and cause of death determination.
The fire is under investigation by the PCSO and the Arkansas State Police. Two vehicles at the scene were also completely burned.
