POPE COUNTY, AR – A man and woman found dead inside a burned camper last week are believed to have been murdered.
POPE COUNTY, AR – The Pope County Sheriff’s Office has released the names of a man and woman whose bodies were found at the scene of a fire last week.
Sheriff Aaron Duvall says the remains of Billy Allen, 45 and Patricia Meadows, 28, both of Dover, were identified through DNA.
Earlier this week the PCSO said it was investigating their deaths as a double homicide. Their bodies were found in a burned camper near Highway 7 North of Dover.

POPE COUNTY, AR – A man and woman found dead inside a burned camper last week are believed to have been murdered.
That’s according to the Pope County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO).
In a news release today, the PCSO said it’s still awaiting positive identification from the State Medical Examiner of the bodies found Thursday (Jan. 16) north of Dover on Highway 7.
“We are confident that we know who the victims are and how they died. However, we are awaiting confirmation from the M.E.’s Office on the actual cause of death and identification,” says Sheriff Aaron DuVall. “At this time we, the Pope County Sheriff’s Office and the Arkansas State Police, are investigating this case as a homicide,” said Sheriff Aaron DuVall.
