HUGHES, AR — An elderly woman has died as a result of injuries sustained in the EF-2 tornado that struck near Hughes, in eastern Arkansas.
Four people were transported to the hospital after the tornado hit Hughes.
An elderly man remains in serious condition, a three year old is in the hospital with a broken arm, an injured leg, and bumps and bruises, according to the St. Francis County Sheriff’s Office.
A 25-year-old woman was treated and released.
3 mobile homes were destroyed by the storm.
Winds in an EF-2 tornado can reach up to 130 mph.
The storm left damage along a 15.6-mile path from Arkansas into Tennessee.

HUGHES, AR — Three people have been injured when a possible tornado hit in St. Francis County.
The three were injured near Hughes, Arkansas Saturday afternoon.
According to the National Weather Service, one person was seriously injured and two others received minor injuries.
Three mobile homes were destroyed, and the National Weather Service is reporting several structures with significant roof damage.
The people injured in the storm were taken to nearby hospitals by ambulance.
Numerous of trees and power lines are down.
Strong winds also blew two semi tractor-trailer rigs off the road near Mile Marker 271 on Interstate 40 near West Memphis.
