A new study reveals a class of drugs commonly prescribed for bone health — could also benefit women with breast cancer.

Researchers found drugs like Fosamax and Boniva — used to treat osteoporosis — cut the risk of breast cancer spreading to the bone — which occurs in 70% of women who die from the disease.

Data from over 20-thousand patients showed these drugs reduced the risk of Bone Metastasis in women — with early and later stages — of breast cancer.

A new study confirms a link between gout…and an increased risk of diabetes.

A previous research had suggested an association between the two conditions…but only in men at risk for heart disease and stroke.

But data from a large population of men and women found diabetes rates were significantly higher in gout patients — regardless of other health issues.

Women with gout were almost twice as likely to develop diabetes than men.

Experts say the inflammation typical of gout could contribute to diabetes…or the two conditions may share the same risk factors.
