BOONE COUNTY, AR – Over a thousand marijuana plants were seized from Boone County after police received a tip regarding marijuana being grown in the north central part of the county.

On Thursday, August 7, the Boone County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division received a call from a local property owner in reference to marijuana being grown on his property. Officers with the Sheriff’s Department, the 14th Judicial District Drug Task Force and the Harrison Police Department went to the property located in north central Boone County.

Investigators found approximately 1,100 marijuana plants growing in a remote location on the property.

According to investigators these plants were removed from the property and taken to the Sheriff’s Office where the plants were destroyed.
