GARLAND COUNTY, AR – A Garland County toddler is dead after he wandered from his home on Saturday.
On Saturday at 12:40 p.m., the Garland County Sheriff’s office received a call of an accidental drowning at a home on Nomoe Road in Garland County.
Investigators have determined that a 2-year-old boy was able to knock down a baby gate and crawl through a “doggie door”.
According to investigators, once the child got outside he made his way to a pond, where he was found by the father a short time later.
At this time, the drowning appears to be accidental and there are no signs of foul play.
However, the investigation is still open and ongoing.
