DERMOTT, Ark. (AP) — Officials say the second of two juveniles who escaped a detention center in southeastern Arkansas has been caught.
Department of Human Services spokeswoman Amy Webb says the youth was taken into custody Friday at a home in Crawford County. Webb didn’t have details of the arrest but says the youth will be transferred to Chicot County, where he’ll likely face escape charges as an adult.
The two juveniles escaped the Dermott Juvenile Correctional Facility last week by slipping out a broken fence. The first youth was taken into custody in Montgomery County after calling police to turn himself in.
The escapees have not been identified because of their ages.
