LITTLE ROCK, AR – Three apartments have been damaged in a fire near the city’s Midtown area.
The blaze was reported at around 2:45 Monday morning at 1421 North University.
Little Rock Fire Department (LRFD) officials say damage to the building amounts to $300,000 and that the fire, which started in an attic above the top apartment in a three-story building, was accidental. How the fire started is not yet known.
Two apartments on the second and bottom floors sustained water damage.
LRFD officials say the building had previously been burned in an arson at the complex and had been rebuilt.
Twelve fire crews were called to the scene and were there for three hours.
