3 Arrested in Pulaski County Kidnapping, Murder Attempt

PULASKI COUNTY, AR – Three arrests have been made as sheriff’s deputies investigate a case involving a woman who was reportedly beaten, shot and pushed off a bridge.

The incident was reported on Sunday after the woman was found walking near a bridge in the area of Fortson Road and Highway 89 in north Pulaski County, near the Faulkner County line.

According to a report from the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO), the woman was taken to a Conway hospital. There’s no further word on her condition and her name is not being released.

The report states that another woman had picked up the injured woman and said she appeared confused or like she had been involved in a car accident.

The injured woman reportedly told a deputy that two men and a woman in a black SUV had shot and beaten her. An investigator at the scene found an electrical cord suspected to have been used to tie the victim’s hands. A spent shell casing was also found there.

The PCSO says the suspects and the victim knew one another but a motive for the incident is not yet being released.

The suspects are identified as: Nick McDaniel, 36, of North Little Rock; Joshua Padilla, 30, of Sherwood and Samantha McClain, 29, of North Little Rock. They are all charged with attempted murder and kidnapping.
