LITTLE ROCK, AR – A McGehee woman has picked up a big prize from the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery (ASL).

Tina Earvin won $40,000 in the July 5 Powerball drawing by matching four white balls plus the Powerball. She had also bought the Power Play option, which was 4X for the drawing, quadrupling her original $10,000 prize.

Earvin bought the winning ticket at the Tobacco Superstore on N. Martin in Warren.

She claimed her $40,000 prize today at the ASL Little Rock Claim Center.

The lucky lady told lottery officials that she plans to enjoy the prize and put some of the cash toward bills.

The Saturday $101 million Powerball® jackpot had no top prize winner, pushing the jackpot to $122 million for the July 9 drawing.

Here’s what’s up for grabs in other upcoming lottery drawings:
  • July 8 Natural State Jackpot – $55,000
  • July 8 Mega Millions Jackpot – $25 million
