BEEBE, AR — A 70-year-old man faces nine felonies after being served with arrest warrants following a months-long investigation.
According to the Beebe Police Department (BPD), 70-year-old John Carl Kuntz, of Beebe, was arrested Wednesday for dealing and possessing prescription drugs.
Kuntz is charged with maintaining a drug premise within 1,000 feet of a drug-free zone, two counts of delivery of Hydrocodone (schedule III controlled substance), one count each of delivery of Soma and Xanax (schedule IV), possession of a schedule III controlled substance with purpose to deliver, possession of schedule IV controlled substance with purpose to deliver, use of a communication device to facilitate a crime and first-degree endangering the welfare of an incompetent person.
BPD says the charges come as a result of an undercover investigation by the narcotics division that began on May 3 and ended with a search of Kuntz’s home and unlicensed business on Dewitt Henry Drive on Sept. 20.
Kuntz was transported to the Beebe Police Department for processing, then transferred to the White County Detention Center, where he is being held in lieu of $21,125 bond.
