FAYETTEVILLE, AR – For this year’s homecoming, the University of Arkansas is trying to attract more alumni and folks in the community.
In past years, the alumni association has built the event around sub themes, such as super heroes. But this year’s committee wanted to base all of homecoming around the football game tomorrow against UAB.
Organizers say they’re hoping to bring former students back to campus,
And that the spirit will look more like the red and white they’re used to seeing.
“We’re hoping that by people coming back and just seeing the lawn decks and the parade and pep rally tonight, that they see how much growth has been accomplished this year and that they want to come back next year,” says Homecoming Director Ashton Dawson.
Student organizations and dorms decorated lawns to resemble different parts of the university.
