LITTLE ROCK, AR – An American Airlines flight en route to Memphis from Dallas had to make and emergency landing in Little Rock Monday evening.
American Airlines says a cockpit warning light indicated the possibility that the oil level in one of the engines was low. As a precaution, the pilot landed in Little Rock. The Little Rock National Airport says AA Flight 1366 landed safely at 5:31pm and all 129 passengers and 5 crew members are ok.
American Airlines says the passengers boarded another plane and arrived in Memphis at 8:30pm, about two hours later than scheduled.
Technicians are driving in from Tulsa to look at the MD 80 to determine if the engine in question can be fixed or will have to be replaced.
