Anthony Lucas Talks War Memorial Stadium Changes

LITTLE ROCK, AR — Local Razorback fans learned Tuesday that beginning in 2014, they would only have one chance to see their Hogs without driving nearly 200 miles to Fayetteville.

The War Memorial Commission approved a new contract, amending the two games per season agreement through 2016. The new agreement states the Razorbacks will play just one game each season in Little Rock through 2018.

Former Razorback wide receiver Anthony Lucas joined FOX16 sports director Wess Moore in the studio to share his thoughts on the news.

“I’m actually pulled both ways to be honest,” Lucas said. “I hate it for the people here in central Arkansas and southern Arkansas and the families that can’t afford to travel to Northwest Arkansas.

“But I do understand, with all the renovation that’s going on in Fayetteville, they want to bring in more revenue. I have to respect that.”
