LITTLE ROCK, AR – A local agency that helps the homeless needs some help of its own to get the job done on Thanksgiving.
The Little Rock Compassion Center (LRCC) says serious food shortfalls are impacting its effort to serve the city’s neediest people and it’s asking for the public’s help.
Because the price of food is up and donations are down, the LRCC is in dire need of turkeys and other food items for the holiday meal and food boxes.

The LRCC plans to serve a traditional Thanksgiving menu: Turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, vegetables and pie and coffee. Chef Mark will also make his delicious stuffing.
The center says this year, more people than ever are seeking help.
Any and all donations are welcome and will go directly to the holiday food fund.
Volunteers, along with LRCC staff will serve the meal. The kitchen crew will begin preparing it between 3:30 a.m. and 7:00 a.m.
From 5:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m., breakfast will be served.
The midday meal service is noon to 1:30 p.m. and the evening meal service is 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
